Most of us already know about the usage of bar codes. Bar codes are being used to print price and other important information of a product ,in order to make it easy to read by bar code scanners later. This way of information transmission makes to move thinks faster.

Imagine that ,if no bar codes printed on the products ,you may have to wait a long time in super markets to get a receipt , in other hands bar code methods made the data input in to computer systems faster.

The regular bar codes we are using known as 1 Dimension code. But the latest trend is 2D.World is moving faster towards using the 2 Dimension bar codes. That you can call as mobile codes also ,as being famous by mobile phone scanners nowadays.

In the 2 D bar codes you can add more information and those are very easy to decode by devices.Where is the connection with the 2D code and mobile user ? Now most of the products coming with 2 D bar codes. any of your mobile phones (which has in 1.3 MP camera inbuilt) can be a code scanner with addition of extra software.

In the contemporary world ,mobile devices are the part of our body. 1)Datamatrix (DM) open-standard
2)Quick Response (QR) open-standard

A Datamatrix (DM) code looks like this above image, It is recognizable by the L-shaped solid border for detection and the 2 broken borders opposite. Don’t forget to keep a margin or ‘quiet zone’ around your codes.
A Quick Response (QR) code,looks like the above, will be recognizable by the three position detection patterns located at three corners of the symbol. Use a compatible code reader on your mobile phone to scan and decode. Don’t forget to keep a margin or ‘quiet zone’ around your codes.
