1)Hour Power

Hour power is one of my favorite applications in S60 V3 phones. It displays time on all screens and reads it loud. This version of hour power is not much functional as old versions but will read the time loud when you touch the application.

Geo tagging is an interesting feature that adds your geographical location information to the photos you take in your mobile phone. If you are on a trip ,just shoot the photos.Automatically the location information will be added to the photos by the Nokia Location Tagger Software ,which will be running in the background. Few mobile devices like Nokia N96 ,N97 comes with Nokia Geo tagging for photos . But some earlier devices like Nokia N95,N95 8GB doesn’t has the geo tagging facility.

After taking such photos if you upload to your OVI share ,you will see the location on the map automatically. Simply you can view the images on the Nokia Maps of your phone also. If you use OVI suite in your PC then it is simple ,it will show the images on the map very clearly. There are so many third party software integrated to Maps will show your photos location . Follow the given steps to setup Geo Tagging in your phone.

The Nokia 6730 Classic, which will be available from June, runs on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, has a 3.2 megapixel camera, 2.2 inch QVGA screen and integrated GPS. It continues the push of S60 into mid-tier devices, using the platform to take services to the mass market. Read on for more.

The device will ship with Nokia Maps, but will also include Vodafone services including its Vodafone Music client.

The Nokia 6730 Classic follows on from Vodafone’s previous S60 exclusive – the Nokia 6124 (a repackaged Nokia 6120).

The Nokia 6730c is, effectively, a repackaged version of Nokia 6720 Classic hardware and specification. The 6720c was announced at Mobile World Congress earlier this year. However while the 6730c does share the same hardware, there’s several changes to external design; for example it does not share the distinctive curved bottom of the Nokia 6720c.

Press release extract

Peter Becker-Pennrich, Director of Terminals Marketing at Vodafone says “The Nokia 6730 is a great all-round handset – just as perfect for mobile internet users as for music fans who want to take their tracks with them. This product follows a successful line-up of Vodafone exclusive devices from Nokia and is another great example of our collaboration. ”

With the Nokia 6730 classic, getting lost and being out of touch with your friends could be a thing of the past thanks to the mobile navigation capabilities on the handset. The services offer accurate turn by turn instructions helping both drivers and pedestrians to find their way. It also provides access to comprehensive point of interest databases and both white and yellow pages information making it easy for the user to find their destination, whether that is an address, a company or even a person.

“‘Feature packed’ describes Nokia 6730 classic really well. With its iconic design – available in sleek black or white – the device is a perfect upgrade for Nokia 6500c or 6300 users or anyone seeking an elegant device, optimized for mobile internet and navigation. What’s more, this mobile comes with industry-leading power-saving features and accessories” says Gustavo Eichelmann, Head of Vodafone Global Account Team, Nokia.

It is interesting to note that Nokia and Vodafone are positioning the 6730 as an upgrade to the 6500c or 6300, both of which are higher end Series 40 phones. It is another indication of the blurring lines between the bottom end of Nokia’s

This software developed based on their long time research about the sleep pattern of human.(click here to find more information about sleep )

They found that if a person waked up or disturbed during his/her deep sleep ,the body doesn’t have fresh wakeup or happy wake up feelings. This happy wakeup software uses the phones microphone to detect the sleeping pattern from the noise made during the sleep. May be our body movements and breathing sounds.

You have to keep the phone ,happy wakeup switched on within 50 CM distance from you during your sleep.

Happy Wakeup How it works

It has a activation time which is maximum 120 minutes and minimum 20 minutes from your default alarm (real alarming time )

Happy Wakep Activatin

for example if you want to wakeup by 6.30 AM ,you should set the activation time in the happy alarm as 6.10 AM or earlier. The alarm you can set using your phone’s clock . both integrates .

Happy Wakeup

As you set the activation time 6.10 AM on above example ,the program will start by the time and will be monitoring your sleeping pattern using phone’s microphone It will give alarm signal when it realizes you already started to wakeup or your sleep is not deep now.if you never come to a stage to be disturbed then happy wakeup will not function and the real alarm time your phone will give alarm signal(6.30 AM as per example).

I have tested happy wakeup alarm from my Nokia N95 8 GB for last one week prior to write this review. I am feeling very nice wakeup ,fresh mornings after this alarm. Few day happy wakeup never disturb me as it was my deep sleep (really i got to bed very late some days after updating my blog )I was trying happy wakeup on 1 week free trial and now I got a full license as I felt it is worth for it .

After the installation when you start the application for the first time It takes few minutes to create all the thumbnails from the existing images to the photo browser application.Timing depends on the number of images you have in the phone.. Every time you take a picture now the images are added to the photo browser. It uses your phone’s accelerometer(if available) to turn the images automatically ,in both thumbnails view or image view.

// ]]> It has a special feature called face detection . If your photo have clear view of few faces (Say group photos for few)in S60 V3 devices use the menu and select face detection ,now when you press the navigation key ,photo moves in the screen face by face. But it is not happening to each and every photo . If the photo contains very clear little closeup images only the software can understand the faces. In my case it faisl to identify some faces ,it bypass it. Same face detection works fine with Nokia Xpress Music 5800 . Where you double touch in a face ,the just drag teh screen ,now you will have face by face browsing.

Install Xplorer 1.31 File Browsing utility in your phone .It is working on Symbian 60 Version 3 devices(N 95,N80,N79 etc) and Version 5 devices like Nokia Xpress Music .It is a powerfull free file browsing utility which have plenty of features to help you . But in this article I cover only one part.
